Feature: Yelle

The trio consisting of Yelle, GrandMarnier, and Tepr are an electropop band from France, who have been together since 2005. The band became known after posting their song ‘Je Veux Te Voir’ on MySpace, which eventually reached the top five in France. They have toured world wide and have even had the pleasure of opening up for Katy Perry on her California Dreams Tour in the UK.

The band is known for their fun songs that draw the listener in after a few seconds, as well as their quirky videos. They manage to produce something that everyone can enjoy, and you can tell that they put a lot of time and effort into what they do.

Although, all three members have different influences (GrandMarnier: Rage Against the Machine and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Yelle: Madonna, Blur, and Snoop Dogg, Tepr: rap and techno), they still manage to combine the different styles they like to form something great.

Yelle has two full-length albums out, ‘Pop Up’ and ‘Safari Disco Club’, both of which have been successful.
