Lord Huron “Time to Run” – This song, along with the full record has been on repeat nonstop since I first heard it. Lord Huron takes me back to watching westerns as a kid, and serves as the perfect soundtrack for almost any situation.
Phoenix “Entertainment” – I love this compressed, Asian synth sound, and have been waiting for new Phoenix since the last record.
Haim “Forever” – Favorite girl band ever, can’t wait for the full length, makes me want to dance.
alt-J “Dissolve Me” – One of my favorite lyrics from a band in a longtime “She makes the sound the sea makes to calm me down” I’ve never heard that said before, the imagery is beautiful.
One Republic “Light it Up” – One of my favorite songs off the new record, the modulation at the end is badass.
Lianne La Havas “Is Your Love Big Enough” -Hard to pick one song from Lianne’s new record, her record is gorgeous and haunting. I’d love to sing with her one day.
“Lost” Frank Ocean – No matter how long I’ve been rocking this song, I can still listen to it on repeat.
Neil Young “Heart of Gold” – Currently I’m reading his biography, and am loving hearing about the inspiring life behind these timeless songs.
“Pull Me Down” – Mikky Ekko sit’s in that perfect place of familiarity and uniqueness, I love the minimal nature of the production on this.
