Tunes@Ten

For today’s Tunes@Ten, we are taking it lo-fi. The sound of lo-fi would usually be described as a “low quality” production of music. Generally made without the use of a recording studio; there are all sorts of artists out there that use this unique sound.

Having its start with The Beach Boys way back when our parents were actually young, lo-fi became far more prominent in the 90’s with the Pixies, Neutral Milk Hotel and others.

With today’s playlist, we will focus mainly on this unique sound, while incorporating some other alternative artists. We will start with the slow paced lo-fi daze that is Hibou, and speed it up with the lovely ladies in Bleached. Rounding it out will be Blouse with their “poppy lo-fi” track “Into Black”. Enjoy.
