Paris Carney Premieres “Run & Hide (feat. D-Why)” and “Astronaut”

Paris-Carney-by-Steven-Taylor

It’s hard to imagine that Paris Carney has been covered by Spin, Nylon, and HYPERTAK to name a few during her two months of being an active recording artist. However, she’s been in the game longer than just two months. At age fourteen, this indie electro-pop artist was writing her own songs and performing jazz standards at clubs throughout L.A. She even went on to study jazz at The New School before dropping out to go tour with Reeve Carney & The Revolving Band

Now with her jazz-trained vocals and electronic beats Paris Carney gives us tunes that are laced with beautifully crafted pop beats. According to her Facebook page, her sound would be described as “if Ella Fitzgerald and Joni Mitchell had a baby raised by Andre 3000 + a laptop”.

Get a taste of her indie electro-pop music by listening to two of her new singles, “Run & Hide (feat. D-Why)” and “Astronaut” down below.

Upcoming Paris Carney show:

April 24th, 2014 –– 10:30 PM
The Roosevelt Hotel – Spare Room
7000 Hollywood Blvd
Los Angeles, CA
