London’s East End Hosts Food Festival

London’s East End is known to be a place where interesting events take place and where the artist community resides. So it comes as no shock that it was the East End that hosted a food festival that you wouldn’t want to miss.

Street Feast is the name of the fest and it offers a variety of food and is loads of fun. There are a multitude of stands set up at each corner of Dalston Yard, each selling something different than the next. Although this festival is held every Friday and Saturday until the end of September, not all the same vendors are set up each week so it is a good idea to check the Street Feast website weekly to see if the vendor that you loved so much the week prior will be there the next.

One of the main reasons why I and many others are drawn to this place is due to the setting. Held in an abandoned yard, hidden behind buildings, Dalston Yard gives the festival an urban feel unlike any other. From the paintings on the walls to the empty storage containers all around, it feels like one is in the center of an art exhibition rather than a food festival.
